Christian marriage is a covenant blended with true relationship blissfully celebrating the love for each other. Two persons ultimately commit themselves to share, care and celebrate their life moments without losing its lovable fragrance and scars. It’s a commitment demanding unending love, trust, care and mutual understanding. As our Lord Jesus Christ taught us, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will live with his wife. The two will become one. So they are no longer two but one” (Mt. 19:5). They are not two persons rather they are one in heart, spirit and body.
Marriage brings out the Divine indebtedness to each other. Both of them need to travel together for their life journey by accepting, respecting and encouraging each other without falling to realizing their uniqueness. It’s an invitation to participate in God’s plan of creation. When a couple enters in to a marriage commitment they are entering into a responsible commitment to bringing up children in good Christian faith. CMI Congregation is continuing this Family Apostolate ministry through our Chavara Matrimony, undoubtedly to nurture and promote the formation of good Christian families for the last 28 years. Let Holy Spirit help us to work untiringly to carry out this wonderful mission for generations yet to flow.

Marriage isLove, Trust & Forever Commitment!
Marriage was designed for companionship and intimacy. Through marriage we can learn about unconditional love, respect honor, how to forgive and be forgiven. We can see our shortcomings and grow from that insight. We can develop a servant’s heart, and draw closer to God. As a result, true soul happiness can be discovered, and this, I believe is one of God’s ultimate desires and purposes for designing the covenant of marriage.
Another very important aspect of a Christian marriage is not only a commitment to each other but also a commitment to God, the power of God! Therefore, the husband and wife in a Christian marriage must be dedicated to living a life pleasing to God and according to God’s ways-Living a life in Christ. Each person has to strive to live their life according to the principles that are taught in the Bible. Each person has to strive to fulfill the God given purpose of their marriage. This will enable the husband and the wife to rely on a "force" outside of them to sustain them in their marriage. We are always accountable to God so we are therefore responsible to ensure that our marriage remains a Christian one and that it remains vibrant, strong, and a ministry in itself to others. Chavara Family Welfare Centre is formed with this great vision to fulfill our responsibility to God, society and nature.
